School Overview:Falun Dafa practitioners have successfully established many after-school education programs which help their children to be able to do the Falun Dafa exercises and to learn the principles of Falun Dafa cultivation way. They also use these programs to help their children to learn Chinese language and the 5000 years of Traditional Chinese Culture. These children, after they learn the practice of Falun Dafa, start to live under the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance, and hand all forms of inter-personal conflicts under these principles. This has now made more and more oversea Chinese people start to show sympathy and support towards the persecuted Falun Dafa practitioners, and even start to feel true trust-love-respect towards the Falun Dafa practitioners. Due to the failure of the current public schools in the field of education of human morality and ethics to the children, the elevated moral qualities and outstanding behavior and disciplines exhibited among the Falun Dafa practitioners’ children are starting to be admired and respected by the oversea Chinese general public. The five sets of Falun Dafa exercises are easy to learn and are extremely beneficial to the health. It has been proven that children after practicing Falun Dafa exercises are more energetic, have better focus ability in their studies, and they experience tranquility and joy in their heart, and gain holistic health of mind-body-spirit. Professor Lili Feng from the Baylor School of Medicine carried out research using the most advanced life science research techniques to demonstrate drastic system-level enhancement of the human immunity towards bacteria and viruses, as well as anti-stress and anti-aging effects (www.thewholeelephant.info). Based upon these observations, the Whole Elephant Institute Chinese Charter School founding team decided to bring forth this education model to the children in New York City to allow more people to understand the beauty of Falun Dafa cultivation way.
